After several decades in Chambray L\u00e9s Tours, AD has moved to Jou\u00e9 Les Tours, just a few kilometres away.<\/p>\n<p>AD Poids Lourd has seized an excellent opportunity by taking over the rental of a HGV workshop previously occupied by an M.A.N. subsidiary.<\/p>\n<p>The workshop part of the garage and the offices, which had remained in their original state, had to be renovated. In order to retain its historic customers, L'<a href=\"http:\/\/ad-poidslourds-val-de-loire-pl.autodistribution.fr\/point-de-vente\/ad-poids-lourds-val-de-loire-joue-les-tours\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">AD Heavy Goods Vehicles<\/span><\/strong><\/a> could not do without a tachograph pit. The challenge was to be able to install a pit in record time from the time the keys to the new workshop were handed over, while keeping operating costs to a minimum.<\/p>\n<p>Thanks to the Xpertive solution, we installed a fully-equipped tachograph pit in just 1 week, from making the hole in the existing garage floor to laying the slab around the pit. To do this, we had to hire a digger with an excavator, bucket and a 5m3 dumper to remove the rubble and fill as the work progressed. After 2 and a half hours of work, the hole and excavation were ready for the pit to be laid.<\/p>\n<p>It was not without difficulty that our experienced team of fitters installed the pit on the span that was intended for it. It was no picnic because it was only 4.5m wide and did not open out. The team had to use their ingenuity to move it to its final position. It's not easy to manoeuvre such a bulky element in such narrow spaces. 17m x 1.40m x 1.30m.<\/p>\n<p>After a good day's work installing the pit, the team was able to pour the concrete around the pit on Thursday and Friday and hand over the site on schedule.<\/p>\n<p>The following Monday, <strong><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\"><a style=\"color: #ff6600;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.vdo.fr\/generator\/www\/fr\/fr\/vdo\/main\/home\/home_fr.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">VDO Siemens<\/a> <\/span><\/strong>came to install the tachograph bench that had been moved from the old HGV workshop.
