{"id":511,"date":"2014-07-09T09:39:16","date_gmt":"2014-07-09T07:39:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/xpertive.com\/?p=511"},"modified":"2025-12-12T10:30:26","modified_gmt":"2025-12-12T09:30:26","slug":"installation-of-a-chronotachograph-pit","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/xpertive.com\/en\/installation-dune-fosse-chronotachygraphe\/","title":{"rendered":"Chronotachograph pit installation"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>L\u2019AD Poids Lourds Touraine has installed a new tachograph pit in its new workshop in Jou\u00e9 L\u00e9s Tours. After being located in Chambray L\u00e9s Tours for several decades, L\u2019AD has moved to Jou\u00e9 Les Tours, only a few kilometres away.<\/p>\n<p>AD Heavy Goods has indeed seized a very good opportunity by taking over the rental of a heavy goods workshop that was until now occupied by an M.A.N. subsidiary.<\/p>\n<p>The workshop area of the garage and the offices, which had remained in their original condition, had to be renovated. In order to retain its historical clients, The\u2019<a href=\"http:\/\/ad-poidslourds-val-de-loire-pl.autodistribution.fr\/point-de-vente\/ad-poids-lourds-val-de-loire-joue-les-tours\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">AD Heavy Goods Vehicles<\/span><\/strong><\/a> could not do without a tachograph pit. The difficulty was to be able to install a pit in record time from the handover of the keys to the new workshop to minimise downtime.<\/p>\n<p>Thanks to the Xpertive solution, we installed a fully equipped tachograph pit in just 1 week, from digging the hole in the garage's existing floor to creating the slab around the pit. To do this, we had to rent an excavator with a hydraulic breaker, bucket, and a 5m\u00b3 dumper to remove the rubble and backfill as the work progressed. After two and a half days of work, the hole and excavation were completed for the pit installation.<\/p>\n<p>It was not without difficulty that our seasoned installation team placed the tank in its designated bay. It was no easy feat, as its width was only 4.5m and it was not an open passage. The team had to show ingenuity to get it into its final position. It wasn't simple to manoeuvre such a bulky item in such narrow spaces. The dimensions were 17m x 1.40m x 1.30m.<\/p>\n<p>After a good day for installing the tank, the team was able to pour the concrete around the tank on Thursday and Friday and complete the site on time.<\/p>\n<p>The following Monday, <strong><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\"><a style=\"color: #ff6600;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.vdo.fr\/generator\/www\/fr\/fr\/vdo\/main\/home\/home_fr.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">VDO Siemens<\/a> <\/span><\/strong>The tachograph bench, moved from the old heavy goods vehicle workshop, was installed.
