Heavy goods vehicle garage construction

We are working on a project for an international company that generates a very significant portion of its business in emerging countries. We have been tasked with creating the plans for their future logistics base.

Based on the site's GPS coordinates, the aim is to dimension the future garage's exterior and interior spaces to ensure optimal operation of the heavy goods vehicle workshop for the client. We start from the business plan and the maintenance and repair hypotheses. We assist and discuss these hypotheses with the client, confronting them with our past experiences. Very often, these discussions allow us to address certain points of vigilance and to see the construction of the heavy goods vehicle garage differently. In most cases, the building is over-dimensioned. Xpertive favours the construction of a reasonably sized workshop from the outset, while incorporating the necessary interfaces and reservations for a short-term expansion. The current economic climate is uncertain enough to warrant maximum vigilance regarding business prospects.

We are therefore fitting out the external areas of the future truck workshop with parking areas for customers, staff, cars, used vehicles and new vehicles. We are also taking care to properly integrate the rules of the Local Urban Plan.

Once the interior layouts are complete, we dimension the office section and position the different areas such as client reception, spare parts reception, workshop reception, invoicing/billing, workshop manager, etc. We also take care of dimensioning the spare parts store and the workshop.

For the workshop, in addition to sizing it according to the client's operational needs, we propose the integration of all the equipment that the mechanics will require. Integration is not the only service we can provide to the client; we also advise them on the choice of equipment. By equipment, we mean oil and fluid distribution, exhaust gas extraction, and inspection pits., soakaway pit prefabricated steel, diagnostic equipment, lifting equipment…
