Kiloutou secures its Fos-sur-Mer workshop

The hire company for handling equipment, earthmoving equipment, and tools of all kinds has decided to secure the pit in its workshop in Fos-Sur-Mer.

Kiloutou maintenance of its fleet of construction machinery, consisting mainly of excavators, telehandlers, aerial work platforms, dumpers using garage pit which allow for quick diagnosis and maintenance, both under and around the vehicle. This is undoubtedly one of the advantages of a garage pit, which cannot be taken away from it. Despite it being a truly effective work tool that never breaks down and requires no maintenance or periodic checks, since 1st January 2014, the Retirement and Health Insurance Fund has required garage pits to be fitted with Pit covers enabling them to be secured.

It's true that a workshop pit, despite all the good precautions a foreman might take, remains an accident-prone area due to the risk of trips and falls.

Numerous solutions now exist to guard against the risk of falls from the same level, from simple nets that limit injuries to hard covers, often made of aluminium for longevity and the long-term sustainability of the investment, which allow work to be carried out in optimal safety conditions.

It is this latter piece of equipment that the company Kiloutou has set its sights on. Kiloutou did not wish to make any compromises on the safety of its employees at work. Therefore, it is with one of our pit covers made of extruded aluminium slats with a resistance of 1500kg / m2 that Kiloutou has decided to equip its maintenance workshop in Fos-Sur-Mer.

Regarding an existing pit, we have installed a rail on either side of the pit to create the running track for the future cover and, at the end of the pit, installed the cover storage system which only takes up 650mm.

The installed device is built to last as it requires no maintenance. The rollers simply need greasing once or twice a year. pit protection using Vaseline.
