Our achievements
Handi Adapt is equipped with a prefabricated pit to carry out adaptations for disabled vehicles.
The company Handy Adapt Joué-Lés-Tours wished to renovate its workshop in order to develop its business. Previously hampered in its activities by the fact that the workshop could only be accessed through a single door, they invested in 4 sectional doors so that each bay could henceforth be usable and independent with its own entrance door.
Their business is primarily focused on niche markets, which requires them to equip themselves with specialised materials and equipment. Indeed, they have three main areas of activity: the fitting of air conditioning systems to any vehicle not equipped as standard, the installation of driving equipment for driving school instructors, and the creation of specific, bespoke adaptations for disabled individuals.
To reassure oneself to the guidelines and recommendations of the INRS but above all of medical inspection, the company had to be «equipped with an ergonomic pit complying in all respects with the regulations».
Our pre-fabricated steel workshop pits are fully equipped and meet all INRS requirements. For our client, this was the assurance of flawless compliance. Our truck or car pits are equipped as standard with a pit floor ventilation, 400 lux lighting, a wastewater recovery system, a pit edge jack rail and a twin-safety air system with outlets.
The customer has also chosen to equip their pit with our pit protection system, which was installed during the pit's manufacture at the factory. The pit therefore arrives at the customer's premises complete and fully equipped, ready for installation and use.
We entered his workshop on Monday morning to cut the concrete slab and carry out the excavation for the future tank. On Tuesday, the excavation was done and we began to install the tank. Wednesday, Thursday and Friday we poured the concrete, after positioning all the conduits for the tank’s power supply.
