The company Durand Services of the group G-Trucks has built a new multi-service workshop on the outskirts of Lyon. The company has set up its new maintenance and repair workshop at 41, avenue des frères Montgolfier.
The original site was a very large storage warehouse that has been completely renovated, with only the steel structures remaining. Virtually everything else is new.
The result is a magnificent workshop with 2 very distinct activities, heavy goods vehicles and commercial vehicles. The HGV workshop has no fewer than 10 bays, including 2 dedicated to in-pit tachograph inspection and 1 to preparation for passing through the mines with a braking bench and play plates, while the workshop dedicated to HGV activity has 10 workstations equipped with 2-post lifts from the brand Rotary.
Durand Services entrusted us with the responsibility of supplying and installing the 5 pits for their renovation project. We installed 1 pit of 15m and 36m dedicated to the repair and maintenance of lorries and buses, 1 braking pit with braking band and plate and 2 tachograph pits.
The pits were all supplied with pneumatically-operated pit covers installed during manufacture at the factory.
Xpertive carried out the turnkey installation, from the excavation to the sealing of the pits in the concrete and the laying of all the ducts for the supply of energy, compressed air, oil and other fluids, electricity and ventilation.
Now in its fifth month of operation, the workshop is a resounding success. The HGV workshop is full to capacity, and the mine preparation area is also performing well. Durand Service has demonstrated its ability to grow, even in highly competitive geographical areas where the competition is fierce.
