Your technical inspection centre's equipment
Dimensions of your pit
You need a useful 18 m at the bottom of the pit. To this length you need to add the floor space for two staircases. If you wish to fit your pit with a covering system, you will need to add the space required for the storage area(s). Without a pit cover, your pit must be at least 21 m long.
Brake tester: safety first and foremost
The brake test bench is used to assess the efficiency of a heavy goods vehicle's braking system. It measures the braking forces on each axle, detects any imbalances and checks that the vehicle complies with current standards. The axis of your bench will be installed at least 5 m from your sectional door (at least 4 m from the start of your pit).
Clearance plates: precise diagnosis of running gear
Clearance plates are used to check the condition of the vehicle's running gear, in particular the ball joints, silent blocks and bearings. They can be used to detect excessive or abnormal play that could compromise vehicle safety. The axis of your game boards must be 14 m from the axis of your bench.
Charging simulator: testing under real conditions
The load simulator enables braking tests to be carried out under real conditions, i.e. with the vehicle loaded. It simulates the weight of the axles not present on the braking bench, which guarantees more accurate and representative measurements.
Radio pressure sensors: precise measurement of brake pressure
Radio pressure sensors can be used to measure the pressure in the vehicle's braking system. This information is essential for checking that the system is working properly and detecting any faults.
Speedometer: speed and distance control
The speedometer is used to measure vehicle speed and check the distance travelled. It is particularly useful for for public transport vehicles or commercial vehicles.
Safety at the heart of your control centre
The safety of your workshop is an absolute priority. The design, organisation and equipment of your technical inspection centre must guarantee you a safe and ergonomic working environment.
In collaboration with your equipment supplier, you will need to equip yourself with :
