The company Handi Adapt in Joué-Lés-Tours wanted to renovate its workshop in order to expand its business. Previously restricted in its activities by the fact that access to the workshop could only be gained through a single door, it invested in 4 sectional doors so that each bay could now be used independently with its own entrance door.
Their business is essentially positioned in niche markets, which means they have to equip themselves with special materials and equipment. In fact, they have 3 main areas of activity: fitting air conditioning to any vehicle that is not fitted as standard, installing driving equipment for driving instructors and making specific, tailor-made fittings for the disabled.
To ensure INRS guidelines and recommendations but above all from the medical inspection, the company had to be "equipped with an ergonomic pit that meets all the requirements".
Our prefabricated steel workshop pits are fully equipped and meet INRS requirements in every respect. For our customer, this was the assurance of flawless compliance. Our truck or car pits are fitted as standard with pit ventilation, 400 lux lighting, a waste water recovery system, a rail for the pit edge jack and an air network with double safety sockets.
The customer also chose to fit the pit with our pit protection system, installed when the pit was manufactured at the factory. The pit therefore arrives complete and fully equipped at the customer's premises, ready to be installed and used.
We went to his workshop on Monday morning to dismantle the concrete slab and excavate the site for the future pit. On Tuesday, the excavation was complete and we began installing the pit. On Wednesday, Thursday and Friday we poured the concrete, after positioning all the ducts for the pit's power supply.
