Installation of a heavy vehicle tachograph pit at CCA Contrôle Ecquevilly

The company CCA Ecquevilly Control trusted us to install a new dedicated control track chronotachograph. It was previously equipped with a single bay for the inspection and calibration of tachographs.

In pursuit of proximity and speed, it has equipped itself with a second pit to respond even more quickly to the growing demand from its customers.

From now on, customers in the CCA Controle catchment area can have their vehicles inspected on the same day, or even within half a day, without needing an appointment.

As the company's workshop was already in existence, we cut the floor of the bay, broke up the slab using an excavator and a rock breaker, then carried out the excavation to install their new diagnostic pit.

After only 2 days, we positioned the pit above the excavation and all the sleeves for the energy supplies: compressed air, pit bottom ventilation, lighting and the tachograph bench.

Over the next three days, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, we poured concrete until we matched the workshop slab. By Friday evening, the pit was installed.

On Monday the following week, the installers of VDO Siemens intervened on site for the installation of the Brake bench and idler rollers in the custom-made steel casings.

The tachograph bench was operational in just a few hours thanks to the extremely precise adjustments that allow A quick installation of all diagnostic equipment. 

It is undoubtedly one of the undeniable advantages of our prefabricated steel garage pits delivered fully equipped with 400 lux IP 64 lighting, compressed air system, pit floor ventilation system, stairways, a wastewater collection tank and completely watertight.
