Motorised aluminium pit cover for braking pit

For limit the risk of falling from a height in your HGV workshop To ensure the safety of its staff, we worked with our customer and in partnership with the CRAMIF to fit this diagnostic pit with a rigid pit cover.

Securing the pit entrance

As a first step, we have decided to seal the pit entrance (between the door and the braking bench) and to move the main access to the pit to just after the braking bench.

To close off this access and make it safe, we covered the pit entrance with three aluminium platforms, which can be easily removed for cleaning.

Pit cover on the braking bench side

From the braking bench, we have a first motorised cover, whose storage is integrated between the bench and the access staircase, and which comes from a second motorised cover, whose storage is integrated between the bench and the access staircase. secure the pit right up to the play area.

The cover is opened using the control box located on the sectional door opening box.

Installing the motorised cover at a distance from the pit but still in the field of vision ensures the perfect staff safety and eliminates all possible risks of musculoskeletal disorders (TMS).

Protection of the pit on the playground side

Still stored at the back of the staircase, a second motorised cover is now available. protect the pit exit up to the play area.

To secure the passageway between the play areas, we have designed a custom-made swivel platform which allows the operator, once in the pit, to take up his post to carry out his diagnostic operations
